We require an assistant to our Marine Superintendent for a fleet of eight British flagged short sea dry cargo vessels.

The successful Candidate must live in the Kent (England) area and reside within commuting distance of Rochester.   Ideally he would  be a suitably qualified Chief Engineer with recent seagoing or shore based engineering experience, holding British recognised qualifications.

He will be fully at ease in complying with the requirements of especially the ISM Code but also the ISPS Code to the UK Maritime & Coastguard Agency standards.

Duties will include but are not restricted to troubleshooting mechanical problems, administering defect reports; stores purchase requisitions and planned maintenance, attending vessels in dry dock and under repair.

 A willingness to undertake voyages as a riding superintendent is also a prerequisite, therefore a valid Passport & Medical Certificate are required.

A full driving licence is essential.
